Spring and Summer Art workshops

At AdG several intensive seminars of Fine Arts are offered throughout the year on specific dates. Art workshops normally run on a weekly basis both in the morning and in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday. Each programme consists of 30-32 hours of lessons, which take place either in our fully equipped Art studio or outside in the heart of Florence. Here is the list of the subjects that are taught in our seminars:

    Life Drawing
    Trompe l'oeil
    Portrait and Self-portrait
    Fresco
    Sketchbook in Florence and landscape
Sanguine drawing and other classical drawing techniques
    Watercolour
    Linoleumgraphy

All these workshops are meant not only for capable students who wish to improve their style and their creativeness, but also for those people whose aim is to discover the fundamentals of the various techniques. Since classes are usually made up of 6-7 learners (maximum 10 students), most of the time during the lessons every student will be tutored individually.

If you wish to know the entry dates of each seminar please see its corresponding web page.

Credits and certificates

The Accademia del Giglio recommends that students who would like to receive credit for their studies abroad check with their university or college prior to registration.
As most universities and colleges consider 15 hours of study per term to be an acceptable level, we offer classes which provide the equivalent of 5 hours of credit per term for the study of the Italian language, along with optional hours for those students who wish to study other modules such as the history of art, studio art, etc. Please click here for more detailed information.

Did you know?

Since 1995 all our courses have taken place in the school premises and have been held by our qualified and experienced teaching staff. We are not a school selling courses which afterwards other schools or institutes take charge of. That is why we offer only a selected choice of courses, whose programmes and schedule have been tested and improved throughout these years.
