A full immersion in the soft and delicate colors of the Florentine buildings, a study of light tones along the river Arno and its historical bridges. Classes will be held either in our studio or outside and they will aim at teaching the secrets and tricks of the vibrant watercolor painting from tinted sketches to multi-layered artworks, besides enhancing the student’s creativeness and skills through several tests on different kinds of papers (i.e.: dry paper, wet paper, and sponged paper). Popular themes during the workshop may comprise botanicals, still life, cityscapes and landscapes. During this workshop, students can also learn or improve the gouache technique, which is often contrasted to traditional watercolors, since watercolor paintings are usually translucent, and appear luminous while gouache paintings look more opaque. Classes are held both in Italian or English.
