Preparatory course for applicants to the Italian Fine Arts Academies

Accademia del Giglio has a very successful track record as the organiser of training courses aimed to help Italian and foreign students who take the Admission Exam to the Fine Arts Academies statali both in Florence and elsewhere and wish to attend their degree courses in Painting, Sculpture, Decoration, Scenography or Graphic. The four-year Diploma course at the Fine Arts Academies is fees free for foreign students.

The Fine Arts Academies admission examination takes place every year during the first 10 days in October but remember that you have to enrol at the Fine Arts Academies in advance.

Our preparatory course is held once a year, in August and September (BA4, BA6 or BA8, total 56, 84 or 112 hours). This course includes a mock exam, and focuses on the drawing of nude human figures (16/20 hours), Art History classes, perspective workshops, and other activities which are deemed useful preparation towards the Admission Exam. At the end of the course, our students feel confident and well prepared to take the Admission Exam.

Accademia del Giglio provides all the necessary information regarding the bureaucratic and administrative aspects of students’ applications to the Italian Fine Arts Academies.

Testimonials

Silvia, Giovanna e Pier Francesco:
Ciao a tutti!
Come state?
Verremo presto trovarvi.

Since 1995 all our courses have taken place in the school premises and have been held by our qualified and experienced teaching staff. We are not a school selling courses which afterwards other schools or institutes take charge of. That is why we offer only a selected choice of courses, whose programmes and schedule have been tested and improved throughout these years.
